Load Speed for Your Site: Getting it Right

The load speed is a description of how fast your site is able to load up. Generally, more successful sites load quicker than other less successful sites.  Studies have shown that people are not willing to wait longer than 2-3 seconds for a site to load.  There are plenty of ways to encourage your site to load a little quicker, and it is important that you make any changes that you need, otherwise who knows how many potential customers have given up waiting for your site!

One way to reduce the load speed is to remove too large images or video files from the site.  Try to compress images down, or have them in a slightly lower resolution if you need to, this will substantially reduce the time spend loading.  If you can, set priorities so your site knows which pages need to load quicker than others.
